South Korea announced on Sunday that the roughly 300 of its nationals detained during an immigration raid in Georgia would be released and flown home, as the sudden detention of workers appeared to strain the longstanding diplomatic and economic relationship between the two nations.
Nearly 500 workers, among them at least 300 South Koreans and at least 23 Mexicans, were arrested at the Hyundai-LG battery plant in the city of Ellabell on Thursday.
US authorities released footage of the raid, which showed detained workers, restrained in handcuffs and ankle chains, loaded on to buses.
The libs flocked here to pearl clutch over “illegal immigration” instead of to wonder why said “illegal immigrants” had to be cuffed and ankle-restrained, why these workers were targetted in the first place (and how the U.S. benefits from mass deportations if their economy is fueled by violated migrants who had their countries destroyed by the U.S.) and why tf aren’t they released yet.
If those workers are in the country legally, Hyundai should shut down the fucking plant.
To be released? They’re still being held?!?
they can be held indefinitely thanks to obama.
Can someone explain to me if those workers were there, in the US, illegally or legally? I dont really understand what happened. If they are in the US illegally, then the raid and detention of the South Korean workers seems valid, or am I missing something?
