I mean yeah, they always know.

The question is how invovled were they in the attack itself (logistics, access to US surveillance, planning, etc.)

Trump seems to be implying this is “off hands” like he stopped engaging the Houthis in the red sea a while back.

I wonder if this is Netanyahu thrashing a bit in an effort to keep the US invovled, or the US proxying an Iranian attack with more plausible deniability.

US proxying an Iranian attack with more plausible deniability.

Why does the US care about that aspect. If the US wanted to it could directly attack Iran, and the only thing China or Russia would do is “tsk-tsk” the US. No one is going to bat for Iran, especially against the US.

Maybe because Trump claimed to be anti war when campaigning? Not that he ever seems to give a shit about being hypocritical.

Of course they did, this is their porn. They’ve been beating the war drum on behalf of Israel for 20 years. Some of them have even been saying we should nuke Gaza & kill all the Palestinians. That is how sick these people are.

One of the al-jazeera posters thinks that’s unlikely, and it’s more likely that Israel is having a “now or never” moment since Trump entered negotiations with Iran.

It’s hard to know for sure, and either scenario is very plausible. Israel is certainly doing everything it can to force Trump’s hand here. Iran will have no choice but to respond, and then the Israeli lobby will put maximum pressure on the US to strike at Iran in response.

Al-Jazeera has repeatedly taken the opportunity to reframe the relationship between Israel and the rest of the imperial core as a domineering one. They have repeatedly undercut the resistance by painting them as the aggressors, “only making things worse” for the Palestinians. This only serves the US narrative.

Except he refuses to as Isreal and the United States are all completely onboard with this. I don’t see this ending well. It will only escalate.

Trump has told Reuters in a phone interview that it was unclear if Iran still has a nuclear program following Israeli strikes on the country.

Trump said [that] the U.S. still has nuclear talks planned with Iran on Sunday, but that he is not sure if they will still take place. He said [that] it was not too late for Iran to make a deal.

“I tried to save Iran humiliation and death,” Trump said.

He said [that] he is not concerned about a regional war breaking out as a result of Israel’s strikes.

Iran’s response has to be the total destruction of the US Embassy in either Iraq or Israel or they will be a whipping boy for the next 20 years, or until the total collapse of the US Government.

    50m ago from aljazeera:

Iran requests emergency meeting of UN Security Council Iran has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in the wake of Israeli attacks targeting its nuclear programme and military this morning, state media report.

Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran’s permanent representative to the UN, made a written request for an emergency meeting of the council, calling for it to take “decisive action … against these criminal acts”, Iran’s Tasnim state news agency reported.

“In a reckless, illegal and premeditated act, the Zionist regime has carried out a series of coordinated military attacks against the nuclear facilities and civilian infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which are considered a clear violation of the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of international law, and whose dangerous consequences seriously threaten regional and international peace and security,” the letter said.
