All instances do political censorship, Lemmy.ml is “famous” for it because instances like Lemmy.world that censor leftists defederate from the communist/aligned instances except for Lemmy.ml. Instances affirm and reinfirce certain stances and viewpoints.

No they do not and if they did it is a bad thing join me in calling it out. Famous because when researching what lemmy to join .ml was heavily warned against because of the strong political censorship.
I’ve been banned for calling out the DNC’s support for genocide of Palestine, calling out transphobia, etc. Lemmy.world is pro-liberalism, and censors dissent. It also blocks the 2 most active communist instances, Lemmygrad.ml and Hexbear.net, meaning it censors them absolutely.
Lemmy.ml is pro-communist and anti-liberal, yes. Hate speech and right-wing apologia are removed. The people complaining about censorship on Lemmy.ml are largely those who go against that. Lemmy.ml is more broadly federated than Lemmy.world is, though, so we can see more diverse viewpoints.
All instances censor, be it overtly or through soft means like defederation. All instances have political bias in some manner.
