I have never liked PayPal and I am still forced to use them. Did you knew the longest password you can use us 20 characters?

(I’m located within the European Union) Anyhow, I want something more private, but still quite convenient to use and have something in between my bank details and the site I’m shopping on. Years some companies make virtual temporary cards.

I remember I tried getting privacy.com back in the day but couldn’t as it was for Americans and Canadians at the time.

Suggestions? :P

Years some companies make virtual temporary cards.

Belgian Post does that, prepaid MasterCard with IBAN. They or the partner bank does KYC (no choice) but shops don’t get your data.

What are you wanting to use it for? I use prepaid cards for most shopping online and just enter fake details if it’s a digital purchase. But obviously that only works for buying things, not being paid

Wise is a option as well. They provide a virtual credit card so you can use it online, though you only get one virtual card at a time.

It does require ID and information as its close to being a bank

Doesn’t that have its own set of problems internationally?
High exchange rates/fees, delays and such?

Every neobank (and some traditional banks) allow you to generate proxy cards. Revolut (even though its global HQ isn’t in the EU) allows you to do that. Same with N26 (German neobank).

I think revolut does what you described but I can’t recommend them, I helped someone regain access to their Revolut account and it was an absolute nightmare, with no live reps to contact, spanning multiple months, and his face was photographed at all possible angles many times in the process.
