Wikipedia treats western state media or non-state sources that reference state media as their source as a legitimate source to be used as the basis of articles but do not include eastern state media sources. If Russia or China made similar ridiculous claims about western allies, either no article could be made on it because Wikipedia would consider all of the sources to be unreliable, or if an article is made about it, it would only be because western sources said it is all false so it would be an article dedicated to debunking it.

If one had to write an article to make Maduro look bad but had to re-purpose what is seen as an initial crass rationalisation of invasion and kidnapping then this what it would look like.
