        racism is not about the language itself. it’s about as she herself said “who is running this car show, so we will keep an eye on it”. it’s panopticon-enabled racial profiling.

          Maybe I’m missing something obvious here, but why would you interpret “because of who is running it” as a racist dog whistle?

            who would be the first kind of person to be the “suspicious guy running around”, as opposed to a regular guy?

            why would they need that distinction in the first place when it’s just a so-called “car show”?

              I mean, someone behaving suspiciously? To be honest, it sounds much like you think all black people are suspicious more than the lady in the video.

              And car shows can get very rowdy - especially shows for more modern cars than classic or vintage cars. The botched car show in Gatlinburg TN a year or two comes to mind as a specific example.

                police is notorious for racially profiling and this is what they already do, supercharged. arguing they don’t is naive at best.

                i was actually thinking of latin immigrants (ie someone like myself), which they openly use flock to target.

                but yeah this probably applies native born black people too.
