I hope the influence of China pushes for a stronger socialist movement within Russia. I am intrigued to see how the neo liberals on charge react to a growing movement, when they know that if they start using more violent means of reaction against them could draw the ire of their obvious communist allies.

It seems inevitable that socialism continues to gain support when they are in such close ties with two major communist nations. If Russia start openly using military force against organized socialists, I wonder how the DPRK and China will react? I know they won’t do anything directly,but I’m sure they won’t be very supportive of it.

Imo, if Putin and the neo liberals were smart, they would already be preparing to give up power softly when/if the time comes. If they do, they may just be able to hang onto some of their assets and wealth.

This was legitimately bad for the USSR and had he been allowed to resign when he wanted he would have been able to mentor the next in charge. Probably prevent everything that Khrushchev fucked up, which in turn my have even prevent the eventual end of the USSR. He probably would have lived longer to due to less overall stress.

Putin probably wishes they were the west. He’s not dumb enough to side with them now, I don’t think. Given I feel he’s learned thats never going to play out in his favor, but I also think that if he didn’t have to contend with another global capitalist power, he definitely wouldn’t be so buddy buddy with China and NK. It will be interesting so see what happens when the west falls. How will Russia react to being completely overshadowed by China? Will they start interfering with China’s work in building up “3rd world” countries? Will they start to attempt their own imperialism? A capitalist nation simply will not be able to compete with China. When the new world power comes about and it’s a socialist nation, more and more will follow suit. Assuming the world survived the next few decades, and China takes reigns as the global communist superpower, I feel the fall of the west will be like the world developing an immunity to the resurgence of global capitalism.
