I’ve been using mailbox.org for a while, and I’m happy with it. It costs 1€ per month at it’s lowest. They have also been developing an open source video conferencing thing (included in the 1€), which from my experience is much better than jitsi.

The JavaScript isn’t slow at rendering, it’s re-doing all the network requests. It re-loads parts of the page each time the layout changes.
There are 2 benefits of using TOTP here:
If an attacker gains access to your password, maybe through a keylogger or browser extension, the TOTP code will expire after a minute, and the attacker won’t be able to log in later.
Using 2-factor authentication (in general) allows you to keep your login information on 2 separate devices, such as using your computer to store passwords, and your phone to generate TOTP codes. Most people (me included) will probably use 1 device for both though.
Dolphin has this as an option (Configure Dolphin > View > Content Display > Folder Size > Show size of contents[…])
Maybe it’s a soy sauce situation. Bears are named after bears cave.
They have already bought .org and .net. I guess they just haven’t set them up yet.
trefle.io has data from various sources, though a lot of pages are rather empty.
I believe if you attach more than 4 images to a post, other mastodon servers will only show the first 4 images, and will not give any indication that the remaining images are missing.
It’s the green parts that look white / grey. I believe it’s more of an illusions - if you have something to contrast it with, such as the moon, you can start to see a slight green tint. The pink I saw last night was very noticeable though.
If stability was their aim, they wouldn’t be breaking stuff all the time…
My dad had this same issue. He spoke to IT, and they sent him a security key he could use instead. Ended up needing a new phone a few months later anyway though…
Should be possible with an addon, but I can’t find one.
I just scrolled past this post without opening it, didn’t mean anything to me. Then I opened a new tab, and it happened to me for the first time. Had to go back and find this post.
The weird thing is, that it was you! It briefly said “Eugenia” in the top right, with a pink-haired profile picture. I hadn’t clicked on this post beforehand, and as far as I’m aware the new tab I opened didn’t contain this post. I’m very confused.

mailbox.org provides bog standard email, from a trustworthy company - no advertising, etc… No fancy security features outside of the usual though. I use the 1€ per month option.
I think healthcare can be more of a “do as I say, not as I do” situation. They can be perfectly knowledgable, even if they don’t follow their own advice. Life isn’t as easy as “just do it”, and it’s likely helpful for many people to work with someone who understands that.
yeah if we count tomatoes as a fruit, then it’s tomatoes.
btw you can’t link to the image on github directly like that - the link expires after 5 minutes. I think https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d6fddb38-0c71-4e79-81f6-0a359c41e7fc should work though.
