The current model in the west only works because the populace has been fed so much liberalism they can’t tell it from reality, thus can’t develop class consciousness. When it fails, it’ll be because the ruling class fell for their own bs.

Even book worship has become a form of avoiding reading, people are just looking up “[Revolutionary] [topic]” to find some passage that seems to support their view and not bothering to read the pages of context before or after.

I feel the same way, but the glamour only has its effect lost on us after certain experiences and ideology reminding us of its ugly side. If we dropped a farmer from 18th c. anywhere in the middle of times Square or Shibuya station, there’s no chance they won’t be in awe.
