Helpful tips, but this made me chuckle.

I did a little digging and it looks like the problems were limited to ASRock motherboards paired with Ryzen 9000 series chips, and they claim they fixed it with a BIOS update. And yeah, if you’re not overly concerned with cable management then a semi-modular will do the job and cost less.

Built in 2019, with some upgrades here and there:
MOBO: Asus X570-E Gaming WiFi CPU: RYZEN 5800X3d GPU: Radeon 6700XT OS Drive: 2 TB WD NVME Power Supply: Corsair 1000W
Looking at your list I’d consider a couple of things:
do some research on the Motherboard. I have a vague recollection of ASRock having problems lately. Not sure what models or anything.
consider a fully modular power supply if you’re at all concerned about clutter inside your case. You might also look up the recommended PSU wattage for that GPU. I don’t know much about the Lisuan specifically, but a lot of them recommend at least 750W.

Get something without a manual safety if you’re going to carry it. If you have to pull it, you don’t want to be dicking around with the safety when adrenaline is hampering your fine motor skills.
He has a cousin that’s worse, so I guess I should count my blessings.
I worked in retail until 2016, and a few years before I left they switched all the PoS registers to Linux.

That’s not a bad idea. There’s actually a Unitarian church about two miles from my house. Last time I drove by there was a MAGA across the street shouting into a bullhorn, so that should at least make it interesting.

I’ve had this same question a hundred times. Seems like a lot of people find a sense of community in church, but I’m non-religious and I haven’t found a replacement.
Wasn’t there something you could do with those and the VMU?
