I don’t mind a little “change” every now and then, but still – “Sway” on my “potatoes” (Orange pi zero 3 and Orange pi 5 max) and “Hyprland” on my x86_64 PC.
Definitely Not GustavoM. :^)

Honestly, I’d rather record command and flags instead of relying on aliases to do that for me.
Unless if its something very “niche” (like automatically pulling the required third party software everytime the distro boots up on .bash_profile).
rtorrent for me.
Here is me (still) hoping for arm64 to become mainstream just like x86_64.
t. I’m typing this on my orange pi 5 max. And the gap between this pc and a “typical” x86_64 one is almost nonexistant.
For those interested, I’ve improved the code and introduced bottomless pits into the game, followed by increasing the spawn rate of enemies.
Just commit some time into learning on how to enable/install (proper) nvidia support on arch (even if you don’t understand nothing at all and/or feel very uncomfortable doing so) and it’ll be a smooth ride after that.
Because you (still) have a lot to learn.
Ow.
Last time I tried convincing em to install Linux, they said “I’m on it” to end up ghosting me after like I was a weird, random beggar they met on the street.
I tried it once and got ignored like a beggar trying to talk with randoms on the street.
Not by the slightest.
You can see it by yourself right now if you have docker: docker run -it --rm --log-driver none --cap-drop=ALL --read-only --net none --security-opt=no-new-privileges --name ascii-matrix defnotgustavom/ascii-matrix
-EDIT- Whoops. Just realized its a fork. Eeeeeehhhh… it’ll give you a nice idea regardless.
I actually created a new image with it – docker run -it --rm --log-driver none --cap-drop=ALL --read-only --net none --security-opt=no-new-privileges --name animatrix defnotgustavom/animatrix
Nice job. Also, I went ahead and made a docker image out of it.
Ub(loa)tu tries to cater to everyone whilst ending up in pleasing no one – it has too much unnecessary clutter.
bemenu. Type stuff in popup, press enter, no confettis thrown on your face.
Looks like we are about to see Crysis running “almost natively” on a rpi 5!
…eh?
By telling users to change their mindset, by showing em how control is important and how the “just werks” mentality imposed by Microsoft is more detrimental than anything.
At that amount of ram, you’d be better buying a rpi 3 or a opi zero 3 one.
You will go back to your “usual” linux setup when you realize that most packages you set up with LFS are now broken and you’ll need to redo the whole process again.
