Toss them in the woods, deer fuckin love pumpkin
Good god that is a hard headline to grok. I thought it had something to do with the actual day prior to something else.
The Leftovers. If I were to ever put together a top 10 list of personal favorites, this would be at the top then in a distant second I could start ranking the rest. I love how fully realized its concepts were. I love how it stuck true to its convictions right up to the end. I love the mashup of science fiction and fantasy and grief and contemporary life. I love the beautiful Max Richter score. For a show that starts pretty bleak in the first few episodes you really feel the love and warmth by the end of the series and the discovery of inner piece.
I always like to add this caveat to anyone jumping in, the first half of season one can be tough. Episode 3 is a good taste of what the show is at its best and episode 6 is one of the best in the series and the point where most people are fully hooked.
Girl Talk in 09 in Vancouver. We were early at the venue and they were selecting a few people to be up on stage for the whole show. Never sweat so hard in my life.
I thought he had a huge ponytail
My teacher in junior high threw on Jerry Maguire briefly because we all remember it as a cute romcom with fun catch phrases. We all forget it starts with Tom Cruise going to pound town.
I’ve literally gotten spam emails that include a real password I’ve used in the past in the subject with some vaguely threatening message. Thanks to all these leaks, spammers are getting more targeted. Luckily I’ve been generating all my passwords for the last few years so I don’t have to worry about specific passwords getting out as much anymore.
Can we please avoid all the editorializing in AskLemmy. I came to the comments to see an answer to this question and it’s all comments about what people think about him instead of actually answering the question.

Added to the watchlist!
Yes! I loved it
I’ve been building my all time favorite 100 list but my number 1 has been constantly Casino Royale. The list: https://boxd.it/jQWau
I usually don’t have a specific genre of choice but I love to dig into micro genres for a stretch. Lately my favorite micro genre is “people in a room talking”. The obvious ones here are 12 Angry Men, Rear Window and My Dinner with Andre. Long Days Journey into Night, Buried, Locke, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, Rope , Tape. “Before” series works well here too. A really good one I saw recently was Big Kahuna.
This also pairs well with tiny budget Sci-Fi. Like Man from Earth, Coherence, Another Earth, Moon, Vast of Night.
It goes it goes it goes
True champs split the screen with cardboard
It’s an Indian record label. Unless you’re from India or are into Indian music you’d probably have no reason to associate with them
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Yea I found this jarring. The show starts with him having a legion suicide bomber kids and wants us to sympathize with him by the end of the season.
These people all work for what seems like huge (video game) businesses. It’s a pretty entitled position to say results aren’t the most important thing. The fact is, they are. If you want the freedom to do things your own way at your own pace, go make your own indie game. I guarantee these “journey over results” types would end up with feature creep and never ship a finished product though.
On the coding side, I’m a senior dev who has been in the industry for 20 years. Not video games but for the web. Easily 40% of the code I ship now is AI written. I’ll use a different AI to review my PRs saving my coworkers time catching the little mistakes I overlooked.
I’ve cut days off my workload over the past year and to say all AI is slop is being intentionally obtuse to the tools. Basically we’ve all been promoted to manager roles and LLMs are the mid level workers we oversee.
This article is trying to paint a picture that these tools are without value and I can feel your finger hovering over the downvote button but the fact is the genie is out of the bottle. They’re not going away and today is the worst they’ll ever be. People that say they’re slower with these tools are going to get left behind by people who are proficient with them.
