I mean, not really sure here where we are going. If the workers were even half way towards interest in the socialist party. Claudia De La Cruz got what .1% of the vote in 2024? If there’s actual momentum to a 3rd party vote in a way we can feasibly see a path to victory I’m all for it. The way I see it we have 2 very fucking long shots. There’s trying to infiltrate the democratic party and gradually turn it into a party that helps people. Or there’s creating a new party and expect it to pass all of the insane hurdles to get on every ballot and then, find a way to actually get a competitive amount of votes, while hoping the faccism slide doesn’t hit fast enough that elections won’t exist before we get votes.

  • Sadly… that doesn’t really track with Christianity.

I mean you can add the overall benefits of everyones needs are automatically met. There’s no talk of toiling for food etc…

But on top of the automatic fact that angels clearly have a hierarchy, god is clearly a full power ruler, there’s tons of verses that talk about people that will be the least in heaven, or greatest in heaven (Matthew 5:19). On top of building treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19) etc…

Kind of some level of any system isn’t it? In short if a system has a means to power that can tweak the rules. Inevitably will result in one group ceasing the rules, turning them to raise how much they can tweak them, and ensuring they continue to be tweaked in their favor.

Communism relies on a possibly impossible starting point. Theoretically if the starting point were reached, it seems the most sustainable. Whether it’s possible to reach that starting point is the great mystery.

  • I’m thinking, it’s an attempt to be more succesful with nerds like us? I gotta admit I thought it was possibly a real person the first time I saw it, I’m more than desensitized to supermodel looking asian pictures from when I was on dating apps and occasionally reddit. I’m guessing just a non horny, non model, claiming to be studying in STEM is trying to avoid the obvious red flags for people that know supermodels probably aren’t into them.

I mean the logic isn’t entirely wrong… though at least familiarize with snippits. I mean I don’t have to read Mein Kamph to say Naziism is evil.

Of course, there is a huge difference, even in snippits and small amounts of information it’s quite clear that all nazi followers, support racism.

While modern marxists do not call for violence etc… and specifically is calling for changing of things that, are not physical traits that require bloodshed.

Honestly can you imagine how weird domestication must be to wild animals… Like just imagine driving down into a back roads area… noting some large ugly creature there… then seeing a small luxury area but still completely foreign to you, and inside it are people. You approach and be “Hey who are you? want to come to society”, and they are like “nah long as we do these weird tasks we don’t understand for these random other creatures, they feed us and let us sleep on these comfy beds… were cool man”.

Tardigrades are awesome, but what about those unaging jellyfish?

I mean yeah still not quite the same thing. IE obviously I don’t see jellyfish surviving in space. But do tardigrades age?

Which side note it looks like they do… while they can basically go in suspended animation, waterbears seem to have about a 3 year lifespan.

So, these guys are virtually unkillable for 3 years, but Turritopsis dohrnii while it can be killed, can live forever.

  • That seems to be so common of a theme in theirs… Testing narcotics on animals to make predictions of how they impact humans is constantly being used as a chilling and watching animals take drugs". The idea that there’s solutions to drug use that might be more effective than throw drug users into private prisons to do slave labor seems quite lost on these people.

  • I mean obviously depends on the god… but if we are going with the judeo christian god. He does a lot of insane things for very little.

Floods the earth for being evil

Kids mock a bald man… God sends a pack of bears to kill them.

Woman turns around and glances at her home town being destroyed, turned to salt.

Quite simply god of the old testament bible is pretty all over the place on what he’ll punish large swaths of people for. Though while I’d note he didn’t worry much on collateral damage. He didn’t miss his targets (IE… sure I could see the god of the bible letting a hurricane kill millions in the bible belt on it’s way to hit LA or New York… but doesn’t seem those storms have a great track record of reaching the people they think god wants to punish.

I do agree on the whole, It’s the next phase of automation. The real problem stems from the fact that we hold onto the system where a tiny handful of people get the full benefit of the productivity, while the others are paid in time incriments which value goes down with demand, so as more jobs are automated or assisted (to allow more work with less people), supply demand devalues the labor.
