

Well, no, they’ll just put up tariff barriers and import bans on Chinese chips, just like they do now with superior Chinese EVs, solar panels, 5G, etc.
But yeah, otherwise they would be. Because what they don’t mention here is that once China has fully developed this technology they won’t just have one, two or three of these machines, they will mass produce them on an industrial scale, like they do everything else.
Like they did with cars, they will then have city-size “dark factories” churning out chips by the billions. Scale is everything in China. China doesn’t do things small.












The sad part is that the Netherlands isn’t really even in control of ASML. They didn’t ban exports to China because the Dutch government suddenly came up with that idea. They did it because Washington ordered it. Same as with the Nexperia debacle.
