Mad World Covered by Gary Jules
Last Kiss Covered by Pearl Jam
Curse of the Blackened Eye by Orville Peck
Read Rule 3 in the sidebar

It was popular, but I think most folks who played it remember dying of dysentery, not the cities 😆

I’m in the US and I can’t say I’d heard of Oregon City before this post…
This is not the right community for your question
I feel like an anonymous survey would be much more privacy respecting than everyone commenting with their demographics…
American here, I’ve never used “mould” for any definition, personally- always “mold”

If a police officer is planting drugs, what makes you think the department they’re a part of would take the suspect’s complaint seriously and/or not just mess up/deny the fingerprint identification process?

That’s the kind of answer you can expect when you ask in a non-technical community meant for conversational questions

Check the rules
If your post meets the following criteria, it’s welcome here!
- Open-ended question
- Not offensive: at this point, we do not have the bandwidth to moderate overtly political discussions. Assume best intent and be excellent to each other.
- Not regarding using or support for Lemmy: context, see the list of support communities and tools for finding communities below
- Not ad nauseam inducing: please make sure it is a question that would be new to most members
- An actual topic of discussion

Contrary to popular belief, asklemmy is not Google

You never thought to ask this question before? Makes sense. Probably because “are you ambidextrous?” Isn’t a terribly discussion-provoking question.

I’m a bit surprised by this. Had you not heard anything about the game? I’m not saying I expected that but I thought it was pretty clear from the start that the game was going to be subversive

Why are you asking this here? This is meant more for asking about thoughts and experiences rather than tech support. You’d probably have better luck in a more technical community (or just googling it). You may still get some answers though 🤷

Who needs musical talent? Or … y’know… basic knowledge of music and musical instruments?

This is probably a bit silly, but everything I’ve seen or heard Riz Ahmed in- he’s been great, except for Aladdin. I guess it was a problem with the script and/or direction but his Jafar was so boring 🥱

The mainstream shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune I don’t mind, they’re generally pretty lighthearted. I figure if someone gets a score up to tens of thousands of dollars but ends up leaving with $1,000 or similar, they’re still leaving with more than they came with, there was no real risk for them, just as there was no guarantee. The further games go from skill and knowledge, the less interesting I find them.
When it comes to folks like MrBeast, he just seems icky to me. I’m glad he does philanthropy, but his challenges just seem like a rich person convincing poorer people to do uncomfortable things for his amusement, all under the thin veneer of YouTube entertainment
It doesn’t manifest exactly the same in everyone with ADHD
