“Movie released in 2024/2025 beats movie released during pandemic at box office”
What makes headlines these days boggles the mind.
I saw 3 just yesterday, and personally I thought it was the worst one so far?! But my now 14 year old son disagreed and thought it was the best one so far. Metacritic seems to agree with him too.
I don’t know, maybe I was having an off day or something. I felt like it was aimed at a slightly younger demographic than the last couple? Like, pre-teen at best? I didn’t get that feeling from the first two.
I said this to my father in 98/99ish when we were already updating to four digits anyway and he told me I was crazy.
We’ll see who has the last laugh.
lol, saw title, came to say ffmpeg, read body, it’s your prime example!
I can’t remember what flag or feature it is I’ve more than once found myself having to build from source to enable, but there is one!
Holy crap, I forgot this was even a thing … I was awash with memories and feelings as soon as I read the title.
It was M.A.S.H. for me … parents watching reruns, I think, as I’m not that old.
Not in my books, but to each their own.
the list keeps growing, but ‘nothing’ is all that keeps happening.
Add repos as needed (Docker, Hashicorp, helm, kubernetes, etc.), build from source for everything else.
#1 - quitting drinking. I’d have been long dead by now the way I was going. #2 - starting meditation. I’m still not sure how I went 30-someodd years in this body prior with all that noise in my head.
Read title too fast, thought we were having another concert.
In the middle of getting my wisdom teeth pulled. They had to like, take me off the laughing gas, but then feed me air or o2 or something for a bit to make sure it was cleared out of my system enough that I could EXIT the dentist’s office and proceed down the hall of the office tower to the shared washroom … while still doped up on the other pain stuff and whatever else was going on (I think they had to shove some gauze in there to keep me from bleeding all over myself or something) … fun times!
If you refuse to try hard enough, anything can be “not compatible” with anything.
SD porn.
I just switched to MagicEarth since it works with Android Auto. Pretty happy with it so far.

Hrm, I’ve got a $6k set of Klips I put together about a year or so ago and they all have grilles.
I’m looking at a ~$20k set of SVS Ultra Evos in the next few months, they’ve all got grilles.
Everything else I’ve explored and considered in the ‘window shopping’ that has led me to the SVS - Paradigm, higher end Klips, PSB, Wharfedale, JBL, all in around that same price point, also all had grilles.
Are you sure the pictures you’re seeing are not just making a point of showing you what is under the grilles, but they do in fact come with grilles?
Soylent Green is people.
High school diploma. I’ve only been specifically asked in one job interview in my entire 25 year career. I currently have employment income in the 94th percentile for a man of my age in my country (according to 2021 census data) - and no high school diploma.
Trying to park at a mall, in Toronto, in early December one year (so Christmas shopping ramping up) … amusingly for an appointment with a psychologist.
She had to come out at park the car for me.
Drivers in this city… so, so toxic.
I had coding and k8s tests before my current role. As they role is platform engineering, it may not be quite the same as if you’re going for an actual coding job, but - it was open book, and you could pick your language - they weren’t trying to test “do you know [language]”, they were trying to test your analytical and thinking skills.
The only part of it I remember now (vaguely) was something about flipping a coin. It wasn’t actually a coding test so much as a logic and problem solving test. The only thing I actually brought to the table was knowing most languages have a modulo function and how to make use of one for various thing (from experience, I’ve never actually been formally taught any coding), and I basically then Googled the pieces to put it together. They know that’s what you’re going to do on the job anyway, as literally everyone does, so why keep you from doing it in an interview?
