Roughly how big are these files, and are they stored locally on your machine or mounted over the network (using FUSE, GVFS, or a kernel-based one like NFS?)
I’ve noticed a few linux file managers are quite cautious loading multimedia thumbnails for networked filesystems mounted with GVFS, not sure of a fix for that aside from looking for a command line utility to mount using FUSE instead
Mini USB has to be one of the most robust connectors I’ve used tbh. All my original cables from over a decade ago still work flawlessly, as well as the ports on the devices housing them.
As for Micro USB… not great. I hope USB-C is more durable, so far I haven’t had any issues with ports going bad that wasn’t down to some ultra cheap adapter or cable
Not that I’m aware of.
What device specs? Android OS could be warning mull about its memory usage when it’s moved to the background, causing the browser to quickly offload whatever it can to be kept partially in memory. Alternatively Android could just be killing mull’s tab processes due to too many background apps running, only keeping mull’s main executable cached for faster re-launch.
A restart might temporarily alleviate it if you’ve not restarted your device in a while, particularly if you still have this issue despite closing other apps
