Everything works just fine sound wise but the chatwheel doesn’t work at all. So the changing the volume between your game and discord or some other chat app. Won’t work. Also you can set up their buttons and feedback sensitivity that can be done on windows and it will be saved in the hardware.

Oh wow yeah I started around the same time. 1998 was a magical time. I stated with a boxed copy of OG Suse but switched to Debian like 6 months later then never switched again. I learned a lot from the thick manual that came with Suse but once I tried Debian everything just clicked. It’s like you learn the Debian rules and philosophy and any package you work with makes sense.

Debian for everything since it’s one of the few distros that has always been there. It’s one of the second distros to come after after SLS. Distros come and go, but Debian marches on.

Pluto is a great test for what type of person someone is.

If someone says Pluto is still a planet. They have a personality where they are immovable and can’t accept scientific change and everything has to be how they first learned it.

If they do say pluto is a new kind of dwarf planet they are more accepting of new information and belive in the scientific method and love to be wrong. Since it means we learn something new.

It’s a great quick test when meeting new people.

I may be wrong with creative commons but doesn’t it work the same with the gpl. They can relicenae it inder a different license if they own the copyright but you still have access to the version under the first license.

The Bible after really reading it book by book at church camp of all places. It made me question my faith and sent me on a journey of reading and study of a lot of different religions to end up believing in none of them but fascinated by all of them as a social phenomenon.

Also America’s definition of old and Europe definition of old are very different. My family in England live in a house that’s older than America and not by a little.

The best advice I can give you is to switch to Linux is don’t right away. Switch the applications you use to open source or Linux compatible alternatives that also run on windows. Then after you get used to those on windows then make the switch.

I would also recommend not dual booting at first since it’s too easy to jump ship at the slightest issue vs sticking with it to figure out the issue just like you would with a problem on windows. It’s a real thing I have experienced it in reverse as a long time Linux user that tried Windows 11 i kept jumping back to Linux every time I ran into issues that caused frustration.
