Taoism is a practice that doesn’t rely on or reject a higher power. It gives meaning to day to day life and the writers I’ve read who practice it have a very practical view on the world.
As for religion, I fall into agnosticism. I certainly don’t have any hard evidence that there is a higher power, but at the same time, with how insanely complex, terrifying, beautiful, loving, and hurtful the world can feel, I can’t help but feel that there’s something beyond what’s in front of us at play. It may not be a theist’s idea of God, but something else entirely.
At least in Voyager, I go to my own user profile and it is a dedicated section called Hidden. I’d guess it would be wherever you’d also find Saved posts.
I get in the habit of hiding read posts all the time to use it as a ‘mark as read’ of sorts because this has been a limitation on every other app I’ve used as well.
When I want to look for stuff I remember seeing, all the stuff I’ve clicked on is now in my Hidden section. Not perfect, but universal.
This has Funniest Joke energy to it
I just did one of my biggest trips last year by getting to see a live F1 race. I’ll probably end up going to another F1 race at a different track again. One of the most exciting events I’ve gotten to see.
I just replayed GTA V after the update and I forgot how bad I feel on the torture mission. But then I remembered what the guy looked like and only had to deal with two cutscenes worth. Also got a great line of dialogue if you shout the target early.
“What the fuck, Michael!?”
“It just felt like that was the guy.”
“How do you know.”
“I had a hunch. It’ll check out.”
I find this by going to my profile, then “Hidden” after I’ve hidden read posts.
The opposite of love is not hate, but apathy.
Truly hating something takes passion, energy and time out of your day. It also taught me that for masters of personal interest, if you truly need to end a relationship with someone, you simply stop responding. It’s far more effective than loudly proclaiming what you feel they do wrong. That will take far more away from you than if you cut ties.
I play rain noise during the winter and just leave the bedroom window open most nights during summer and the leaves rustling is a good replacement.

I am one of those people. An entire burrito can be ruined for me with just a few pieces throughout. I always feel so bad when someone gives me food with cilantro.
Lately for me it’s been “ks”
Yeah. It was really jarring seeing a Jugallo being depicted as Elon Musk. They’d probably beat the shit out of most any tech bro.
Rosebud for money in the Sims
This is where I am. There are a lot of fancy features that modern graphics cards have that I want to make sure work with all my AAA titles. I have a Linux laptop for near everything that isn’t a game.
I know there’s a lot of people on Lemmy that feel differently, but I am a bit of a bleeding edge graphics whore. I like my raytracing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Okami just had its sequel teased after about 15 20 years. I’m excited to see what they do with it.
edit: 2006 was not 20 years ago! :(
Right on. I’ve moved onto a dirty iPhone since, but here’s a screenshot of my super old Android setup back from when Material was new. After Android took out all the fun stuff custom ROMs could do, I sort of fell out of love with Android.
I had a cool feature at one point where it started out looking like this and unlocking it would make the circle expand and the background would show in full.
Man, I miss early KLWP
Any time! I’m a graphic nerd with none of the book learning, but I do work at a screen printing shop, so I have some intuitive understanding of logo/icon design, but don’t have the theory to go with it.
In other words, I have wildly subjective opinions that I’ll randomly dig my heels in on. (Sometimes when I have no idea what I’m talking about ha!)
Is this a wild Candlejack reference? Better tell everyone to avoid saying Candlejack. Hey everyone! Don’t say Candleja–
