14 days agoFlatpaks are problematic enough on its own and I avoid them when at all possible.
I’d never want to make my whole system flatpak based. That’s the opposite of what I want.

82·4 months agoFrom what I’ve read, in our instance, it’s being critical of China that gets you banned.
But I don’t know how much of that is people being straight-up racist/xenophobic and then conflating it with being critical.
I miss not having to worry about whether any app or game would be easy to install and work flawlessly.
edit. also printing in general, situation is so dire that I just send whatever I want to print to my phone and print it from there these days.
Love gnome with dash to panel. Zero complaints.
No manufacturer support. But zephyrus g14 (2022) is my favorite laptop ever. Very few issues with Linux.
Indeed. That’s the opposite of what I’m looking for though. That’s complicated and apparently breaks ?
I’m currently dual booting. Which works fine. I was wondering if there was an easier way though.

Mlem looks the best but it feels choppy as hell. So I’m using voyager instead still quite good and runs smooth.
Hm. Not sure if it’s because I’ve stuck with gnome and kde. But both definitely freeze often during high I/o or intense processing times.
On multiple machines and multiple distros. It’s one of the most annoying things about it really.
Just go on Khan academy and do a lesson a day. It will take time(years) but you’ll learn.

People seem too aggressive here though.

And no. I do not want to blind fiddle with the permissions to fix it.
People have answered most questions. The gaming thing is a total lie though.
Some specific games will work kinda okay. The vast majority will work worse. And a good chunk of super popular games won’t work at all. Just dual boot and keep gaming on windows.
People in here straight up lie to push for Linux when it’s really not necessary. It’s great at what it does. And it’s improving in what it doesn’t.
