Honestly a president that was just crazy but not like evil would be so funny. Paint the whitehouse pink, make the navy wear tophats, replace the $5 bill with a $6 bill, change the national anthem to never gonna give you up
Let’s make finnster president just because it would be funny and the conservatives’ heads would explode. Is she a qualified? No. Is she american? No. Would she even want to be president? Probably not. Would she still be a million times better than the current president? Definitely
Dang varmints ate it
Probably, but why? Who is going to spend money to run a server just to provide compute for random people they don’t know to generate garfield fanfics
I bought one last summer and the only problems I’ve had were some display issues which were solved by adding kernel parameters to disable all of the amdgpu power management (which as far as I can tell doesn’t even increase power usage noticeably). Other than that it has been basically perfect and way better than any other laptop I’ve had. I wish it had real suspend, but that’s just not possible on modern CPUs so that’s not Framework’s fault
I’m not sure how underrated it is but the exec feature in find
is so useful, there are so many bulk tasks that would just be incredibly difficult otherwise but instead are just one line
Interesting, I would absolutely hate using something like that for actual use but it does seem like it could be useful for like demonstrations and documentation
I wonder what nuclear women decay into, also does their gender radiation change the gender of people around them?
A little ziplock bag full of nipple clamps
Do NOT give the carrot industry that idea
I say you’ve won an operating system once you’ve contributed code that got into its kernel
I have a very similar spec Asus Eee PC that I use NetBSD with i3 on and it’s fine for like taking notes in vim or listening to music with strawberry. It can also run Haiku fine which I might switch to on it at some point because Haiku is fun. Anyway my best use idea is just use it to explore operating systems you’re curious about
I would guess this hardware is too old for vulkan support, vkd3d/dxvk probably wouldn’t work
The one change I would make would be adding a “never” button to the notification so you don’t have to disable it in the settings if you don’t want it
Or actually “Don’t show again” would probably be better phrasing
My favorite is probably Haiku because it has in my opinion the best floating window manager in the world and just overall feels really good to use. Once it develops further I would genuinely consider using it as my main OS on my laptop. I’ll probably always keep a Linux distribution on my desktop for games though.
(Also your explanation for using windows is a little weird. Minecraft Java works just as well on linux as on windows and you can use bedrock edition with mcpelauncher and it works pretty well. I’ve literally never used anything not linux based as my main OS and I haven’t had anything I actually wanted to play not work since like 5 years ago)
I feel like it would just be like a pride parade
It’s definitely been awful in the Eastern US so I believe it. The heat index in my house has been over 100 F almost every day for most of the past month or so
Yeah I also have one of these I’ve used on linux for years, it’s always worked perfectly. Better than windows honestly since the one time I made the mistake of booting windows with it connected, windows found some driver that it automatically installed that instantly deleted all of my profiles so I had to go set them up again with piper. I didn’t like that very much, that was the last time I ever booted windows on one of my primary computers
Yeah that’s such a weird choice, why not like LibreWolf or at least a less weird chromium fork than brave
