    Greenland sharks are pretty amazing

    They can grow up to 24 feet putting them at the same giant scale as great whites and basking sharks, but most are usually closer to 5 meters long

    They can live for hundreds of years due to extremely slow metabolism and ambush feeding, some individuals found around 400 years old are as old as the Jamestown colony, Don Quixote, and the discovery of logarithms.

    They are opportunistic feeders and have been found with polar bear and reindeer in their digestive systems, and can pull/vacuum in water to catch their primary prey of fish, eels, and other sharks.

    If everyone is reliving the same day over and over again most people can go a day without eating with some mild discomfort, pretty much all agriculture, grocery, etc would become luxury and less needed or used.

    All travel would become short distance you can’t spend 24hrs traveling to the other side of the planet just to get reset back home. Markets would go into stasis and stay closed there’s no interest earned over 0 days, which means most people would stop working as most jobs wouldn’t be necessary if everything just resets after 24 hours, you can’t build or destroy anything permanent.

    I think most people would panic or just vacation for a few months worth of repeated days before organizing around new myths and practices and traditions around what caused it and how to change it back.

    Arguing politics with someone who thinks ‘let’s go Brandon’ is useful argumentation is like arguing religion with someone who never read their holy book or science with someone who barely passed 5th grade, their whole position is as superficial as possible and they think name calling is effective discourse in general because it works on people who are uneducated on the topic and rhetoric like themselves.

    I try not to sub to streaming services with an ad+sub tier like cable TV which narrows options over the past few years but also helps me avoid some of that stuff.

    Criterion collection/channel is usually good for Indies and some lesser known quality films.

    And physical media but that’s mostly just for stuff I already know I like and would watch multiple times or for the commentary track because of how expensive that can get.

    Theaters I’ll go to for epic movies in IMAX or sometimes new horror movies or the occasional rifftrax thing they do where they broadcast live from a theater to a bunch of other theaters.

    We used to have hominid cousins living at the same time as modern humans like neanderthals and denisovans. I don’t think there’s a consensus answer on what wiped them out, ecological changes over the last ice age reducing the availability of resources that they couldn’t adapt to maybe, or prehistoric wars maybe and only the most vicious and violent hominid group survived, or some combination of changes and fighting and being absorbed by other dominant groups that they couldn’t adapt to quickly enough.
