I don’t have the cringe capacity to read the article, that cover image alone is so cringe-inducing already. What a bunch of posers. “Off-road lighting” which reduces departure angles, road tires, vinyl wrap. Clearly all of this is there just to look cooler in a mall parking lot. Taking a picture on a dirt track which I could take my Prius on (when I still had it) is just cherry on top.

I 100% guarantee my 30-year-old van with cheapo M/T and a slightly cut front bumper, is better at offroading than those pieces of simultaneously over- and under-engineered garbage. And I use it exclusively for off-road and camping, no city driving (except for helping my friends move).

Owning a truck for personal use is stupid and reckless (except for very specific circumstances which apply to like <1% of the population). But a Cybertruck is just so much dumber. It’s like someone took the idea of a truck, stripped it of any potential use-cases it might have had, designed it in the worst way possible, and implemented it with as many reliability and safety issues as possible while keeping plausible deniability.
