Online I found this egg for 23 euros. I then visited several sex shops asking for vibrating eggs like that one. On the first one they showed me this one for 130 euros. They insisted is waterproof according to IPX7 and that cheaper models are won’t bring me to orgasm.
Is the second model 6 times better than the first one? I never expected a sex toy to be this expensive.
At another sex shop they offered this which can be bought directly from the manufacturer for 50 euros, but in this sex shop was valued at 90 euros, which is an insane markup.

All of this is to say, price isn’t really a good tell. You’re better off looking for something that’s well reviewed and fits your needs.
all of the eggs I linked have a tail. Do you know how flexible is this part? Can it be bent 180 degrees?
The vast majority I worked with could be flexed a full 180 but had a preference to a specific angle based on either how they were packaged or moulded. We did have a few with cheaper antennas break internally with repeated flexing and tugging, those were all remote only.
In practice we found that that tails moulded into a tight C shape made them easier to wear under clothes as straighter J shaped designs would make an obvious bulge in tight clothes and shift around more freely during movement.

So the other commenter has all the good deets on the silicone. They don’t advertise the raised charger nipple thing, it’s just a trait of the 1.5mm jack construction.
As for design, these classic style corded eggs are pretty fantastic, especially for under clothes use. I’ve only seen online pictures, but it seems the c shaped toys are completely enclosed in a silicone coating, with no fissures whereas the corded one has visible lines where the different parts assembly as in the picture attached, next to the bullets.

In the lot we tested, most of those seams were just junctions in the mould used to coat them and didn’t actually have any depth. if this corded model is completely coated in silicone with only superficial seams and is waterproof, my next question is about batteries:
I own an older vibrator powered by 4 AAA retrievable batteries, which is very convenient, because if the batteries stop charging after 3 years of use, all I need to do is change the batteries for the device to work again.
This corded vibrator seems to have a built in battery I cannot change when it dies (and it will die, like any other battery, even li-ion ones).

I can answer this question specifically, no idea about egg vibrators in general. If it is actual silicone (and be careful, a lot of cheap Amazon sex toys are not actual silicone), then it’s non-porous and body-safe. In terms of pathogenic safety, any silicone toy can be used both vaginally and anally, and shouldn’t grow bacteria/mould/etc inside it. Toys made specifically for anal will be made of harder silicone to make sure it can penetrate, and you probably know this but should have a flared base for anal. But some toys designed for vaginas also satisfy those qualities.
Actual silicone can be safely boiled. I boil my dildos to disinfect them (after washing with soap and water first). I use gentle pH-neutral soap so as to not damage the toys.
My opinion, opposite from others, is start with a cheap one and see if you even like the concept. Maybe you don’t even like bullet vibes. You can learn that for 20 euros or 200. I think, better to buy a cheap one first and upgrade once you know you like it.
Do you actually want something that works through your phone? That’s a lot of hassle and if you are using it on yourself. Your phone will get all gooey. It’ll be difficult to hold the phone and the vibe at the same time. If you aren’t already looking at your phone, going into it will be distracting. If you are looking at your phone as part of the experience, you’ll have to switch out of whatever you are doing. It is a lot easier to use a more classic one with a tactile control (dial or buttons). The markup is a lot, what is pays for is the rent, bills and payroll of running a brick and mortar location that is available so you can go and handle a bunch of toys before you buy them. It is a lot of overhead. So it’s good to buy stuff from those places when you can to keep them open for when you need them. At least a bottle of lube.
The Lovense one is good if you want extras like ability to remote control the egg over the internet, sync it to music or games, do camming etc.
If you just want a vibrating egg then you don’t need the fancy ones.
