Trump has said that Mexico, Colombia and Greenland are actual options for the US at the moment. The US is on a war path threatening not only a bordering country but a NATO and EU member state as well. This could very well signal the end of the US and maybe the EU.

I have the feeling that my country, Mexico, is the next one in the list.

Attacking Mexico will give Trump so much political gain with their neo nazis.

Can I ask, what’s going on with Mexico? I heard they were putting heavy tariffs on china and trying to burn bridges with them or something?

The US no longer tolerates socdems that openly condemn their actions. They want complete subjugation which is only possible with a neoliberal and fascist regime such as Argentina.

I don’t know much about how political power works in Mexico, but I assumed that something like this would have to get approved by Sheinbaum, and she seemed unlikely to fold. Is this a backchannel thing or did they find a way to pressure her?

The problem is that we Mexico are not a sovereign nation. Our means of production, if not owned by the US, are controlled by US companies. Our economy us deeply dependent on the exports to the US. However, even with all of those conditions, we are a nation that practices solidarity and we do acts as help Cuba with oil. Stuff like this is unaceptable for the Yankees.

Honestly? What is daddy amerikkka going to do? Move their factories to China to punish Mexico? Amerikkka is depends on Mexico for a lot of food and other things, and they can’t really do anything to change that because it would make the line go down.

                Who sold out this time?

Well, what they can do in my homeland is similar to do criminal killings in the Caribbean while framing it as a fight with the drug cartel.

Sadly, that might score points with the bloodthirsty fascists within the USA.

With China, the US can’t get back back the factories without trying to offshore them to other countries.

However Mexico borders the US… I assume the demented leadership of the empire has a more “concrete” way of obtaining those factories. It would not be the first time they steal Mexican land eitheir.

Obviously an invasion and occupation would be a whole other affair on their own, but we’ve seen how unhinged the US continues to be.

Stealing land from Mexico is an Amerikkkan tradition. But then what? The Fourth Reich is going to make their own shoes or pick their own lettuce? They could do that in any of the other land they stole from Mexico, like Texas. The formula is cheap labour inside other people’s borders. The whole point of those factories being there is they’re explicitly not in the US, and it would defeat the whole point to seize the land they’re on. So what then? They’re going to take the land AND the people? Is the presumption they will turn Mexico into a slave colony? If so, capitulation is defeat and Mexico should buy nukes and prepare for war right now.

These people live in a fantasy world to think such threats would produce anything other than their own collapse.

I’m extremely worried about Mexico and Canada, although Columbia has been extremely blunt so I will say the South.
