Fr couldn’t even be arsed to make something resembling calligraphy.
IIRC, he was created by Vought (the corporation that makes super powered people) to be the perfect justification for them to seize military power in the US.
Art imitating life again
How about the Irish kid in Harry Potter?
Tbf, the entire point of this guy is that he was made a supe terrorist by a racist asshole fascist super hero, playing the public.
The important thing is to not portray arabs as having self-agency
Yeah sure sure. Bunch of Zionists just so happen to think of a reason to portray Muslims as terrorists but can’t find an Israeli symbol anywhere. Or wait should they just go full antisemitism? Ohh religious discrimination is only fine against Muslims I forgot.
Buddy you misunderstood the point. The whole show is a massive criticism of both capitalism and racism. The fact that this guy was a caricature was intentional, both in the boys and as a meta statement by the author. It’s saying that western fear of middle eastern terrorists is driven by racist propaganda meant to trick people into accepting forever wars to fund the military industrial complex.
That’s the excuse but in the end they got a Muslim on screen blowing himself up and that’s what sticks in people’s heads. You go to his wiki page and it says “Islamic terrorist”.
I’m not sure how the author’s message can be more face up. In the end media literacy is a responsibility of the audience to some degree, and criticizing satire for that which it portrays, or in this case criticizing messaging for that which it mocks is a failure to understand the message.

I am (due to circumstances of my birth) an American, and yet I understood the messages that The Boys were making. I disagree that art should be brought down to the lowest common denominator. Instead, discussions like this bring everyone up instead

I’d be inclined to agree if the directors made any fun of Israel as well but their stereotypes seem to be limited to Christians and Muslims.
The notable absence of Israel in The Boys which is supposed to be a comedic parody of modern America is telling by itself.
Thinking this is anti-Muslim is the same level of critical analysis as thinking Homelander is the good guy.
Maybe you should be lecturing those people about artistic literacy instead of crying to us about the art
Maybe you should start researching where all of the anti-Muslim propaganda originated from and find out that it wasn’t caused by the American military industrial complex, but actually by, you guessed it, Israel.
And by none other than our great friend B. Mileikowski.
I won’t because I’m not going to get my knickers in a twist over stuff that fundamentally doesn’t matter. It’s a caricature on a show known for over the top caricatures. Beyond that I think the whole show is overhyped and I didn’t bother to finish it.
Go volunteer or take a walk or find a hobby. It’s not healthy to be so hyper obsessed that you’re signal boosting rage content that nobody here would have heard/thought about otherwise.
Say what you will about the show, but getting an IDF soldier to play this character is the best casting I’ve ever seen

One of the characters also has pictures framed in his house one of the black panthers (I think Huey Newton) right next to a framed picture of Obama. Lol
If he dies this season, his last words will be “Ruthkanda Forever”
It’s MM that does and Obama is literally above Huey lmao
And I found a low quality screenshot from the internet for proof:

Reminds me of a BESM rpg someone I knew wanted to run. His idea was “kill Sailor Moon.” We finally caved and came up with a party that obliterated the whole crew in one session. My character was stacked with every possible disadvantage so I could get “explodes on death” coupled with “resurrects somewhere safe.” I can’t remember the blast radius, somewhere between 1 city block and 1 mile radius.
In case you’re interested, the rest of the crew was a wizard worth lots of flashy damage dealig spells up his sleeve, one mysterious charismaniac, and one retired Navy Seal sniper. Their roles were, respectively; get their attention, group them all together, and (after I walked near enough to them) shoot me in the head. The wizard also teleported him and the charisma guy away - radio earpieces are cheap and effective.
It was pretty funny watching the disbelief on the GM’S face as our death squad obliterated 5 teenage girls and their creepy stalker in like 3 hours. Most of that was min-maxing. Never underestimate the ability for a bunch of gamers to ruin any possible plan with enough character points and a few hours of prep time.
JK Rowling?
What the hell is wrong with Eric Kripke?
Zionist
What’s that based on, and how recent?
Hirring an ex-IDF terrorist to play the role of “Frenchie”
Multiple statements from the other co-directors like Seth Rogan that they’re Zionists.
Glaring lack of Israel in a series which claims to make fun of modern politics (weird how stereotyping Muslims was fine but Israel is a red line)…
This series started well before the wars.
And it’s still going on. It parodies real American politics. Except the Israel part.
shit I had no idea…
Kash Patel?
I would have guessed a white supremacist Caucasian Donald Trump supporter, but by the looks of it, I would say Kash Patel.

to be fair, kash patel is a white supremacist caucasian in his own head. lol
