Currently, Thailand’s “left” are rising neoliberals who wish to replace the royalist establishment conservatives, and they are directing people’s greviance to free market reforms.

This is also not helped by rising nationalist sentiments as a result of the border conflict with Cambodia, basically reinvigorating the army’s popularity which results in more defense budget and propaganda on the usual shows.

Speaking of the media, most of Thailand news channels are basically conservative leaning with maybe the occasional liberal to appear centrist.

I won’t discount that there could be leftist groups in Thailand but they likely wouldn’t be known either on the internet or in public which means they won’t have the power to do much.

The only saving grace is that there are public incidents where Thai people would assist their own in beating the shit out of said rapist war criminal who are stupid enough to be openly lecherous (like Israelis) but that is only in the public who can say what happens when the camera isn’t turned on.
