This seems like a smart bit of war propaganda. Gas is already expensive so why not demoralize the civilian population into wasting their money on hoarding an incredibly perishable resource?
The average car gas tank is what? Ten to fifteen gallons? The average gas canister is at most one to three gallons unless you’re buying industrial or military sized Jerry cans, so you’d have to go out of your way to hoard more gas. Then you’d better hope that you can prevent the gas from experiencing temperature or humidity change because then your 300 dollar gas stockpile is going to be a bunch of water in Jerry cans.
Oh, and have fun with an actual bomb in or near your house. Because 30 gallons of gas can result in very pretty fireworks.
So unless you’re buying premium octane gas and adding expensive stabilizer, your gas is keeping for at most 3-5 months making the entire endeavor ultimately pointless.
I think he’s being honest telling us gas is about to be difficult to find, at any price, unless the US leadership corrects course swiftly, and possibly even then, since they keep bombing innocents, including little children.
