Yea you’re a PoS, I don’t think “realizing” it changes that. When else are you going to be close to so many other people in a way you can positively impact their life?
Just kidding, I wouldn’t stress about it. Kids are dumb, you grew up, be better
It’s actually quite impressive that they don’t get crowd crushes
You know Wayland will be ready when these threads don’t get 100 comments
Ouch. That would kill my motivation and trust

Nearly 4 years in AI at M$. PhD from Harvard. She’s got a lot more to lose than the rest of us
edit: I have no idea where or why I thought she had a PhD
EDIT: LINKEDIN TOOK DOWN HER PROFILE
Damn she got some balls
Not sure why they don’t just ship Firefox with extensions like uBlock pre-installed
Edit: it looks like they’re heavily tweaking Brave regardless. I doubt this move was for technical reasons
Chromium is more secure, so if you add privacy tweaks, it is arguably better: https://madaidans-insecurities.github.io/firefox-chromium.html#jit-hardening
(Btw I use Firefox)
The United Nations said Monday it will “reduce its footprint” in the Gaza Strip after an Israeli tank strike hit one of its compounds last week, killing one staffer from Bulgaria and wounding five other employees.
Does the UN not have any power the can exert over this? They seem strangely helpless when militaries misbehave
I mean how many jobs have you applied to online? I think about 1 in 100 applications leading to an interview is around standard, although some people will get lucky.
Also the reason we don’t explain why you didn’t get the job is because given hundreds of applications, that would take hours to do (I personally only look at a resume for 10+ seconds anyways) and we don’t want to open ourselves to legal retaliation
Unfortunately, it may be a good idea to “customize” each submission by incorporating keywords from the actual listing into your resume.
This is usually a bad idea, since quantity > quality for most people trying to get a professional job. But I do agree with the rest of your comment
House of cards season 1 was…
Oh
I would watch a YouTube series doing this
At my company we allocate 20% of our time on “Better engineering”, and it counts as impact when you’re up for bonuses/raises so people actually have a reason to push to do it
Me after reading Lemmygrad posts for 5 minutes;
Jokes aside, none from my hometown, but there was a communism club at my university. They weren’t very motivated or organized though; it takes a lot of effort to run a club properly (I ran/participated in others), and that group just didn’t have it
There’s a lot of nuance about how you do it. You can’t protest in the middle of a highway, for instance.

Lemmy default UI should seriously consider a daily donation goal, similar to old Reddit. Implement a backend API to fetch the daily amount needed and the current amount donated, and stick it on the right hand side by all the trending communities. As a stats nerd, this would seriously motivate me to donate more.
