I got nothing new going on. Decided to finish off a game a bought in summer 2024 (Narita Boy) but most of the week has been spent watching my son discover Minecraft that I finally got for him. I’ve never played. My son and wife are hooked now.
Picked up Guilty Gear -STRIVE- in a discount bin. It has been ages since I played a fighting game. Very nice for a Switch port and with 28 characters (and more on the way) it is good value. There is a 5-hour movie included and training missions that take a long time.
I don’t think I’ll be trying my hand at online fights (there isn’t a soul in the European servers), but I do wonder how FGC members choose their main when there are so many good characters.
I see pre-orders up on many sites. Again, great news. I literally checked the Moss site every few weeks to see if this was still going to happen.
I’ve been looking forward to this one.

Not much. Taking a little break from shmups to catch up on platformers. Finished Yoku’s Island Express this week, might finish Pepper Grinder before Monday.
Edia just put out that Telenet collection so if that moves units who knows what will happen.
I have some of them on Switch but would re-buy if there is a better release.
I was off sick yesterday and read 3 issues. They cover lots of doujin shmups. Good stuff and OK presentation.
Blood Empire is pretty fun! Just tried it on my work computer because I don’t have a Windows computer at home.
Pants’ channel and podcast are great. I love the new thumbnails for the “I Wanna Shmup” series.
On a broader level, I prefer most of the shmup content creators to those that make content for my other hobbies and interests.

Finally got around to trying out some Psikyo shmups. They are fun to credit feed and the bosses are awesome. Probably going to spend some more time on those and maybe Under Defeat.
I don’t have Steam, although I’m tempted after browsing a bit.
There are things on sale that have never been on sale on other consoles.

Yes! And it is cheaper than initially announced (at here in the EU).
I was leaning towards RnR for the character variety, but some reviewers seem to prefer Reboot. I’ll probably get whichever is cheapest when the time comes.
I want to get a Cotton entry, but don’t know where to start.
