    It’s missing the Vietnam war the Korean war, cointelpro(in the USA) operation gladio in Italy (was not a massive death toll but prevented communists to be elected in Italy). And in Brazil there was another one under president Vargas that instituted the task force of communist hunting, that preceeds operation condor as well

      Yeah it’s not exhaustive by any means. Also, arguably the economic system itself kills even more people than imperialist wars by denying stuff like healthcare, food, and so on.

      if we used the rules of the “victims of communism” count we could include everyone who has died on the streets, through lack of healthcare, etc. as a direct result of not allowing the country to go red

      Good mention of Vargas dictatorship. People don’t discuss Vargas dictatorship as much as the 1964 dictatorship (part of operation condor), but both were very brutal against communists.

        Yeah Vargas is a tricky subject because in one hand he fucked the communists over, but on the other he promoted incredible advances for the working class, so he is complicated
