The United States has extracted the maximum possible military and political benefits from the conflict in Ukraine.

Now, having achieved its objectives, the Trump administration is discussing a peace plan directly with Russia, bypassing Kyiv, while simultaneously using corruption scandals they are involved in to pressure President Zelenskyy.

These are classic U.S. tactics, previously witnessed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
