❗️Knesset reports steep 53% decline in Israeli settler migration and surging outbound migration

    Expand

A recent official Knesset Research and Information Center report highlights a dramatic 53 percent decline in the number of Israeli settlers returning to the country between 2022 and 2024, coupled with a steady rise in outbound departures.

Citing data published by Yedioth Ahronoth, the study notes that annual returnees fell from approximately 8,000 in 2020 to about 3,800 by 2024, contributing to an overall migration deficit of roughly 140,000 individuals over that three-year span.

The research indicates that the downward trend is exacerbated by bureaucratic, economic, and social hurdles, including prolonged wait times for state health insurance, fewer financial incentives compared to new settlers, and severe integration challenges.

While North America traditionally accounts for the largest share of returning settlers, arrivals from the US plummeted from 3,700 in 2020 to 1,500 in 2024.

    VIDEO | “I don’t serve Israelis, I don’t serve baby killers.”

A fitness center owner on the Indonesian resort island of Bali refused service to and expelled three Israeli tourists from his facility over their ties to the Israeli military and poor treatment of local staff.

The confrontation occurred at Ayenda Gym in the Ubud district of Gianyar Regency, where footage captured 32-year-old owner Samir ordering the men to leave the premises.

During the exchange, Samir questioned the individuals regarding their service in the Israeli military before telling them they were not welcome.

VIDEO | “I did a leg amputation on a 5-year-old girl, and the only anesthesia that we had was the anesthesia doctor singing to her … We were praying for her to faint … She stayed awake the whole amputation.”

During a recent interview, Dr. Mark Perlmutter shared a harrowing account of performing an emergency amputation on a five-year-old girl in Gaza without any proper medical anesthesia, relying solely on an anesthesiologist singing to keep the conscious child calm through the procedure.

Describing emergency rooms overflowing with children missing limbs, the orthopedic surgeon stated he directly appealed to a US senator to urge President Trump to intervene and halt the relentless Israeli attacks.

        How about Khalifornia?

Yes I spent more than an hour making this

The bear faces East, for the light of Allah is nowhere in the West.

The kufic script reads “Islamic Republic of California” and I’m horrible at calligraphy, so if it looks wonky then that’s why.

VIDEO | ‘I never understood why Israel didn’t expel all the Palestinians.’

Israeli settler and online personality Rivka Lafair has publicly criticized Israel for failing to forcibly ethnically cleanse the entire Palestinian population during the 1948 Nakba and 1967 war, framing their survival and demographic growth as “unfinished business” that still needs to be addressed.

The actual video is so much worse than this description in my opinion.

VIDEO | ‘Israel still occupies the Golan against UN resolutions, against the entire international order.’

United States Ambassador to Turkiye and Special Envoy for Syria and Iraq Tom Barrack publicly broke with official US foreign policy by stating that Israel’s continued occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights violates both international law and United Nations resolutions.

The remarks directly contradict the 2019 decision by former US President Donald Trump to formally recognize so-called Israeli ‘sovereignty’ over the strategic plateau.

The Golan Heights is currently occupied by roughly 20,000 Israeli settlers alongside an indigenous population of approximately 26,000 predominantly Druze residents who maintain their Syrian identity.

❗️Georgia refuses to adopt latest EU sanctions against Iran citing strict national interests

Georgia has formally declined to adopt the latest wave of restrictive measures imposed by the European Union against Iran.

According to reports from the Georgian news agency Interpressnews, Tbilisi asserted that its foreign policy decisions and participation in international political initiatives are governed exclusively by domestic priorities rather than bloc alignment.

Tengiz Sharmanashvili, a leading member of parliament from the ruling Georgian Dream party, emphasized that the government evaluates every international resolution through a single criterion of whether it directly serves Georgian state interests at any given moment.

Sharmanashvili bluntly noted that if an external policy measure runs counter to those national objectives, authorities remain entirely indifferent to whose broader geopolitical agenda the measure otherwise supports.

—❗️🇺🇸/🇮🇷 President Trump on Truth Social:

‘No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a Deal than me. TRAGICALLY, for them, they have failed to take it. Therefore, today, I am announcing the MOST CRUSHING ECONOMIC OPERATION EVER TAKEN AGAINST ANY COUNTRY! This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale.

Their navy is gone, their air force is destroyed, their military factories are now rubble, their currency is worthless, and their country is hanging by a thread.

Today, I am also announcing that ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide any type of lifeline to Iran will itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences. Oil smuggling, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, front companies — It all needs to stop NOW. You know who you are. This will be an ECONOMIC D-DAY, and we need all of our Allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat.

These maniacs are on the ropes, and these HISTORIC MEASURES will cripple them and their ability to project terror worldwide. IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!’

Maybe this is a reactionary opinion, but I think after the revolution in the US, one of Communists first priorities should be to issue details about 5 year plans to the public in the same way Trump posts on Truth Social.

❗️Australian judge slams envoy’s antisemitism definition as tool to silence anti-Israel protest

    Expand

A New South Wales Supreme Court judge has delivered a damning critique of special envoy Jillian Segal’s preferred definition of antisemitism, branding the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) text verbose, imprecise, and “detached from the reality of common usage.”

According to a report from The Australian Financial Review, Justice Desmond Fagan made the sharp rebuke in a decision published on Tuesday, as reported by Janek Drevikovsky. Justice Fagan made the comments while dismissing a state bid to impose an extended terrorism order on 22-year-old Mohammed Farhat, who was jailed last year for spray-painting slogans like “F-- Israel” in Sydney.

Rejecting the government’s claim that the graffiti constituted antisemitism under the IHRA test, Fagan declared that the “apparent purpose of promoting” the framework was “to graft onto the community’s abhorrence of antisemitism … a parasitic rejection of protest against Israel.”

The judge firmly rejected efforts to conflate political opposition to the state of Israel with hatred toward Jewish people, pointing out that “disparagement of Israel is not antisemitic because the Jewish people, who as a whole are the object of antisemitism, are not coextensive with or in any sense equivalent to the state of Israel.”

Noting that Jewish people themselves have long been among the most vocal critics of Israeli state actions, Fagan asked, “How can it be antisemitic – in the established sense of the word – to disparage Israel when doing so accords with the words and beliefs of many Jews?”

He also defended open critique of Zionism as an ideology “open to political discussion and criticism, notably on grounds concerning the rights of the Palestinians,” emphasizing that those condemning state violence “have freedom to express their views” while supporters “have the right not to listen.”

🇮🇱💬🇹🇷 Israel Hayom, an outlet close to the Israeli security establishment, published an analysis arguing that Jerusalem has effectively developed a legal doctrine for striking Turkish assets in Syria without triggering NATO’s Article 5 collective defense clause.

The piece, titled “The Abu al-Duhur strike: denial before emplacement,” follows Israel’s August 18 strike on the Abu al-Duhur airbase in Idlib, roughly 70 kilometers from the Turkish border, eight hits on the runway and facilities, no reported casualties. Israel says the strike was meant to prevent Syria from allowing a Turkish military deployment there; Ankara denies any such deployment was planned.

The core argument: NATO’s Article 5 protects Turkish territory, not Turkish troops wherever they happen to be standing. Since the treaty is territorial, Israeli planners reportedly assess that hitting Turkish forces or infrastructure on Syrian soil would not constitute an attack on a NATO member’s territory, and therefore would not obligate an Alliance response, even though NATO could still act by consensus if it chose to.

US envoy Tom Barrack criticized the strike as an unnecessary escalation and pointed to the lack of advance warning to Turkey.

❗️Iran to construct world’s largest solar power plant in Isfahan to tackle severe grid deficits

    Expand

Iran is preparing to break ground on a massive 5,000-megawatt solar power plant in Isfahan province, backed by an estimated $2.8 billion in private sector investment, as reported by WANA.

According to Ebrahim Karimi, head of the energy desk at the Isfahan Governor’s Office, the sprawling 6,000-hectare complex in the city of Kuhpayeh will be deployed across three distinct phases consisting of two 2,000-MW packages and one 1,000-MW package.

Once fully operational, regional officials state that the facility is designed to become the world’s largest solar power installation, overtaking current leading sites in nations like India and China.

Proponents note that the mega-project will supply roughly 10 percent of Iran’s monthly electricity demand and significantly alleviate severe grid deficits by cutting peak summer power outages by half.

    https://t.me/thecradlemedia/66433

As someone whose been on the bus drive between Isfahan and Qum, I think solar power is a perfect fit for Iran. There’s absolutely loads of potential for it, and I can see Iran being a model of transition from an oil economy to a renewable giant.
